Why these books are free
Under the Indian Copyright Act, a book enters the public domain 60 years after the year its author died. Each card shows the year the book became free in India.
We link only to the original editions. Modern reprints with new commentary, forewords or charts are still copyrighted, so we leave those out. Popular modern books like The Intelligent Investor are not on this page because they are not free yet.
Questions
Are these PDFs really free to download?
Yes. Every book here is in the public domain in India, and each PDF is a scan of the original edition, so downloading and sharing them is legal.
Which book should a beginner read first?
Start with Stocks and Shares, then The ABC of Stock Speculation, then Studies in Tape Reading.
Are W.D. Gann’s books free?
Yes. Gann died in 1955, so his books became free in India in 2016. Truth of the Stock Tape and The Tunnel Thru the Air are both here.
Why is The Intelligent Investor missing?
Benjamin Graham died in 1976, so his books stay under copyright in India until 2037.
