9AM Beta CourseA 6-month advanced stock market course, from the basics to derivatives
Beta is our most complete programme for serious learners. Over six months and five modules you learn how the share market works, how futures and options are priced and used, how to read charts and company financials, and how to analyse the derivatives market through option chains, open interest and the Greeks. About 80% of course time is hands-on practice.

One programme instead of five separate courses
Most people learn the market in pieces: a video on candlesticks, a weekend workshop on options, a tip from a friend. The gaps between those pieces are where money is lost. The 9AM Beta Course puts everything in a deliberate order, so each skill rests on the one before it.
You begin with how the market works, move to futures and options, then learn to read price charts and company financials, and finish with derivative analysis, where all of it comes together. Classes are live, every session is recorded for revision, and mentors review your work throughout.
Beta or Alpha: which course fits you?
Both start from zero. Alpha is a focused three-month trading programme. Beta goes further and deeper, especially in derivatives and company analysis, and adds recordings so you can revise at your own pace.

What “practical” means in the Beta course
Theory explains why. Practice builds skill. Most of your six months is spent doing the work that traders and analysts do every day.
The remaining 20% is the theory that makes the practice meaningful.
Live market sessions
Analyse the market as it moves, with mentors explaining each decision.
Option chain drills
Read real option chains and interpret open interest and volatility.
Written trade plans
Every idea gets an entry, a stop-loss, a target and a position size.
Trade journal reviews
Log your decisions and review them with mentors to spot patterns.
Company case studies
Value real listed businesses from their own annual reports.
Strategy payoff building
Model option strategies before risking any money on them.
Option payoff lab: see risk before you take it
Choose a strategy to see its profit or loss at expiry across different index levels. This is the kind of analysis you practise in the course.
- Max loss
- ₹150
- Max profit
- Unlimited
- Breakeven
- 24,150
Per unit of the index at expiry, using illustrative premiums with the index at 24,000. Multiply by the lot size for a real contract. Brokerage, taxes and margin are ignored. Educational only, not a recommendation.

Why we teach derivatives the slow, careful way
A SEBI study of FY25 found that over 91% of individual traders in equity derivatives made net losses, with combined net losses of more than ₹1 lakh crore. Source: Business Standard report on the SEBI study.
That is why Beta spends four months on foundations, charts and fundamentals before the advanced derivatives module, and why every strategy is modelled and risk-defined before it is discussed.

Questions about the 9AM Beta Course
Can a complete beginner join the Beta course?
Yes. Module 1 starts from the very basics of the stock market. The course then builds step by step to advanced derivatives, so no prior experience is needed, only the commitment to six months of learning and practice.
How long is the course and how is it structured?
Beta runs for six months across five modules: basics of the stock market (1 month), futures and options (1.5 months), technical analysis (1 month), fundamental analysis (1.5 months) and derivative analysis (1 month).
What does 80% practical mean?
Most class time is spent doing, not listening: reading live charts, analysing option chains, writing trade plans, reviewing journals, studying company reports and modelling option strategies, with mentors guiding each activity.
What is the difference between the Beta and Alpha courses?
Alpha is a three-month trading programme for beginners. Beta is six months long and goes much deeper, with a full module on derivative analysis (option chain, open interest, Greeks and implied volatility), a longer fundamental analysis module and recordings of every class.
Is the course available online, or only in Delhi?
Both. You can attend our classroom in Delhi or join the same live classes online from anywhere in India. Recordings are available either way.
What if I miss a class?
Every session is recorded, so you can watch what you missed and bring your questions to the next live class.
What are the fees?
Please send us an enquiry through the contact page for current fees and batch dates, or ask during your free demo class.
Do I need money to trade during the course?
No. Practice is done through analysis, written plans, simulations and case studies. Whether and when you trade with your own money is always your own decision.
Do you give stock tips or trading calls?
No. 9AM Traders Academy is an education provider. We teach you to analyse the market and decide for yourself. We do not give tips, calls or guaranteed returns.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. You receive the 9AM Beta Course certificate of completion after your final strategy review.
